Hi, I'm Victoria Short.
I'm a local East Coast Bays resident, an elected Councillor of Auckland City representing the Albany Ward, previously elected member of the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board, and a volunteer trustee for Life Education Trust

About me
In October 2025, I was elected as the Albany Ward Councillor. Currently appointed as Deputy Chair of Value for Money Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee, a member of the Appointment and Performance Committee, member of Hauraki Gulf Forum and liaison Councillor for the Pacific Peoples Panel.

During 2019 - 2022, I led the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board as Deputy Chair emphasising transparency, accountability and action. And as a member I held these principles strongly.
Prior to the local board, I spent 6 years advocating to Council and Central Government on behalf of our residents as electorate agent for MP’s Hon Murray McCully then his successor. I'm a trained accountant and a Chartered Accountant Provisional Member, a volunteer trustee for Life Education North Shore, a member of the Institute of Directors, an executive member of a local business association and an active volunteer with many of our wonderful community organisations
